I love the way the striking wood screen opens up to reveal the refrigerator and wine storage – and the island slides apart to create knee space for the stools. At first the TV had me confused – but I can only presume you watch it from an unseen sofa, only when the stools are not in use. Great thinking for a flexible space! (via)
Hi Nicole – me too, on both counts
Very creative! Would love to know the hardware used to make the sliding island top. The TV throws me off a bit, even if there is a viewing area in front of the kitchen. I’d be so nervous about it getting damaged when being used as a bar area.
