Agas and the blues
I haven’t really posted any Agas for a long time, which is a good enough excuse for me to share some today. I have a couple of grand ones for you – first from Kvanum, in a blue Broby kitchen:
I’m not sure whether this is in a barn or an underground bunker – maybe an underground barn? – to be fair, I’m sure the windows are on the wall we can’t see. I like the tile backsplash/hood in this space, it’s fun and alleviates the weightiness of all that blue. You can also see the matching Aga refrigerators – although to my mind “matching” is not really the point of an Aga kitchen.
This magnificent Aga kitchen comes to us via Nelya at Head over Heels , and doesn’t trouble itself with anything as plebeian as matching – cream Aga again, and with the dramatic cabinetry making the most of the height in this room. The turquoise blue table is a perfect contrast and accent:
There’s a fine collection of teapots, but I don’t see the requisite Aga kettle anywhere – and I’ve never seen the range used as a bookshelf before, either. There’s no end to the Aga’s usefulness!

Hi Julie, Oh I remember those lovely houses – so envious of your trip!
Hi Kate – Isn’t it just?
The aqua table is to die for.
I love the blue and white tile of the first kitchen. It reminds me so much of the old, tile-exterior Portuguese buildings.
