It’s a blooming faucet

You have to say it in your best cockney accent – but yes, it really is a blooming faucet. Or at least a faucet that doubles as a flower vase, from Hego Waterdesign in Italy:

I encountered it here at PatriciaGrey – Patricia says the vase is glass, and the handles are lucite. When turned on the water fills up the vase first before flowing out.  Does the vase empty when the water is turned off? I don’t know, it would not be good for the flowers if so. But you’d get quite a ring at the waterline if it stays filled all the time, wouldn’t you?  Beautiful design – I’d need to know more about how it works before making a commitment.

  1. I know – the impractical side of Italian design. And yet it really does seem to be in production

  2. These sorts of things make my practical nature come out in full force. How do you clean something like that? Faucets aren’t usually see through for a reason. The gunk build up would be a horror show after about six months of continuous use. Pretty picture, lousy faucet.
