What about this bathroom?

Is it just me, or does this “after” picture of a bathroom remodel look as if if should have been a “before”?

Okay, I like the counters, and the black cabinets aren’t bad at all. But I can’t see the point of “floating” a long run of cabinets like this if they’re only a few inches of the floor – it’s just going to be a cleaning nightmare. And that floor tile just looks wrong to me … or maybe it’s the wallpaper? I can see that there’s a repeating shape that occurs in the lamp, the wallpaper, and the floor – but it still doesn’t quite hang together for me. I think that wallpaper is just too overwhelming, and heaven help anyone who ever goes in there with a hangover ….
