… breaking, as it does, many of our current conventional rules for kitchen planning. Two obvious biggies, the refrigerator too far from sink and range, and that trash can out on the floor.

So over at K+BB, in the article Ready, Set, Remodel!, a veritable flock of designers suggest how they would remodel the space.  Thank goodness some of them point out that this is Julia’s kitchen, and there’s not much value in rearranging it without her input – unless you want to replace this quirky space with a nice cookie-cutter by-the-rules kind of room.

It saddens me that so many of them want to get rid of the table, replacing it with an island, but then you already know how I love a real old fashioned kitchen table.  If you’ve got room for it, it’s a wonderful thing to have.

So, as you’ve probably seen and read plenty about Julia’s kitchen over the last several weeks, here are a few more kitchen tables to end the day with.
