Painting cabinets – everybody’s doing it now

Tenth of the 10 Quick Fixes suggested by Michael Lassell, Features Editor of Metropolitan Home, is “paint your kitchen cabinets, preferably a surprising color”. I thought all you cabinet painting DIY folks out there would like to know that you are in such lofty company. And that is a great color, isn’t it? I do wonder if this was really a DIY project – fantastic job if it was!
Here’s another example from Kvanum – the retro styling here does tend to make it look as if it could be a DIY painted cabinet – but in this case it definitely is not one. I bet you wish you still had those lovely sixties cabinets now, don’t you?

Glad to be of assistance Eric – I hope you’ll go bold!
Great article. I love this new trend. I think that it really adds some fun to the kitchen. I will definitely have to show these pictures to my wife and propose we do our cabinets like this during our upcoming remodel. Thanks for the great pictures!
Sorry Jane, the article never mentioned the actual paint color, so following the link back doesn’t reveal any more. In any case, it probably looks quite different on my screen from yours. Your best bet if you like the colour is to find the chips in a paint deck that look most like it, then try some samples. Paint them out on a piece of white cardboard (or similar), and try propping them in different parts of your room to see how they work with the different angles of light.
Help! What color is the green kitchen cabinets in Michael Lassell’s 10 quick fixes? Thank you so much. I am desperate to find put. Thanks
